Senate Bill 159 hopes to add Ehlers-Danlos syndrome to the list of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana. The bill has passed the Senate and has moved onto the House. Senator Dan Feltes and Senator John Reagan introduced the legislation.

The Senate’s approval came on March 29, according to Tenth Amendment Center. The vote conducted was a voice vote. Several other bills are making their way through the New Hampshire legislative process.

The state is also working on a marijuana decriminalization bill that has passed one step of the process. The governor has pledged to sign the decriminalization bill and Senate Bill 159 should they make it to his desk.

Additional hearings and votes regarding marijuana matters in New Hampshire are scheduled for later this month.
